Mecha Frieza vs 100% frieza

 I'd say Frieza is stronger , IMO.

I have one thing to say here:

Chapter: 330 (DBZ 136), P9.7
Yamcha: “So this guy called ‘Fr…Freeza’ has such terrible…ab…absurdly large ki…?”
Gohan: “This isn’t it…he gets much, much stronger…!”


This could cause some discussion.
I just don't think he could have powered up, given all his mechanical enhancements. He must have been stuck at a fixed power level, imo. Gohan's quote about how Freeza gets much more terrifying may be referencing his deadly energy attacks/ability to alter his chi. Gohan didn't know that Freeza got blown to pieces and was mostly robotic, so, he might have been under the impression that Freeza could still power up when his Android enhancements did not allow him to. He didn't have enough information on what had happened to Freeza since Goku hadn't returned yet.

Gohan saw Freeza power up and transform multiple times on Namek. Because he hadn't seen him do it yet on Earth, he assumed he could power up more. He didn't know Freeza got blown to bits and was a cyborg of sorts and thus at a fixed power level. This is the only way I can explain this quote.

Although, another take on this: Gohan is smart, and would have figured something when King Kai told them that Goku beat Freeza and the planet blew up. Why would Freeza get out of that fully intact?

Why wouldn't he? He could breathe in space, and potentially just escape the planet before it blew up. All Gohan knew was that Goku "beat" him, but, then they obviously find out that Freeza survived.

Still, I don't think he thought Freeza would lose his lower half of his body, a large part of his skull/arms and part of his torso either.

 Yeah, the only thing I've learned from this debate is how complicated a lot of these quotes and such are. All characters had limited knowledge in some way and Trunks finished off Mecha Freeza so quickly that nothing definitive could be ascertained. The life of a DBZ debater...

 The only opportunity Freeza had to raise power would have been when assaulting Future Trunks; he is capable of raising power in an instant; so, I would assume that he raised power at that instant.
